GETTING TO & AROUND HAMILTON

Ideally located between Melbourne and Adelaide, the Southern Grampians region is conveniently serviced by major highways, a regular, daily air service to and from Melbourne and a daily coach service.

Once here, taxis, hire cars, coaches and limousines make getting around trouble-free. Hamilton is situated on the intersection of three major highways; Hamilton B140, Glenelg B160 and Henty A200. The city is serviced by daily V-Line coaches, a regional airline and several hire car companies.

BY CAR

Hamilton is centrally located as an important hub for the region. Some of the major road networks servicing Hamilton include;

B140 - Hamilton Highway (Provides connections to Mortlake  & Geelong)

B160 – Glenelg Highway (Provides connections to Ballarat, Mt Gambier and Casterton)

A200 – Henty Highway (Provides connections to Portland and Horsham)

C184 – Hamilton Port Fairy Road (Provides connections to Port Fairy & Macarthur)

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

BY COACH

The Hamilton Vline coach stop is located at the Hamilton Railway Station.

Daily services are available to all major destinations, including Melbourne, Ballarat, Warrnambool, Portland, Horsham and Mount Gambier. On Weekdays services are available to Portland and Horsham, and on other selected days there are also connections available to and from Port Fairy, Halls Gap and Ararat.

GETTING AROUND TOWN

Trotters Coaches run regular town bus services in Hamilton and surrounds Monday – Saturday. On Weekdays, the Town Bus Services run to and from the Hamilton Station connecting with Vline coach services to Warrnambool, Coleraine, Casterton, Mt Gambier and Ballarat.
