AUSTRALIA DAY

Members of the public can attend the Southern Grampians Shire Council Australia Day Celebrations to be held on Thursday 26 January 2012, at the Hamilton Botanic Gardens.

The official program will commence at 10.30am with presentations of Australia Day Awards, Address from Australia Day Ambassador, The Hon John Brumby, flag raising, Citizenship Ceremony and musical items from Hamilton Brass and Hamilton Singers. A free BBQ will be provided by the Hamilton Lions Club at the conclusion of the function.

Mr Tony Cavanagh will be the Australia Day Ambassador for Coleraine and Glenthompson

Penshurst, Balmoral, Branxholme, Byaduk, Cavendish, Dunkeld and Tarrington townships are also arranging local community events.
