The Southern Grampians Shire Council provides assistance to event and conference organisers.
To assist with the development and growth of your event, Southern Grampians Shire Council Events Coordinator can provide assistance in the following ways:
- Venue site inspections
- Accommodation referral service
- Compiling bids for conferences/events
- Promotional material, maps and more
- Pre and post touring options and social programs
- Promotion on the Southern Grampians Shire website and events calendar brochure.
Marquee Hire
Southern Grampians Shire Council offers Shire Based community events free hire of the Shire marquee. The Marquee package includes a 6x9m marquee, 4 market umbrellas and a fire extinguisher. The marquee is not available for private functions.

EVENTS FUNDING ASSISTANCE
The Southern Grampians Shire Council provides funding assistance to local incorporated groups and organisations wishing to develop events and conferences which have the potential to generate significant additional visitors and economic, cultural and promotional benefits to the Southern Grampians Shire.
Applications for events funding assistance are assessed by Council on a monthly basis. Any incorporated group wishing to apply for event funding is notified that applications close for each month, 4 weeks prior to Council meeting. Events eligible for funding assistance must occur after the Council meeting, funding for retrospective events will not be considered.
